Distal Tibia Safety Lock Plate 3.5, Anterolateral
Indications:

The 3.5 mm LCP Anterolateral Distal Tibia Plate is indicated for fractures, osteotomies and nonunions of the distal tibia, particularly in osteopenic bone.

Plate Features:
  • Four distal head holes angle 7° inferiorly to capture the posterior malleolus.
  • Elongated hole aids in plate positioning
  • Distal locking screws provide support for the articular surface.
  • Targeted locking for Volkman's triangle and the Chaput fragment.
  • The head of the plate is designed to provide a low profile construct when using locking screws or cortex screws Ø 2.7 mm, resulting in less soft tissue irritation.
  • 60°twist in shaft is contoured for the distal tibia anatomy: less plate contouring is required.
  • Anatomic reduction: Anatomic plate profile and four parallel screws near the joint assist reduction of metaphysis to diaphysis to restore alignment and functional anatomy. Anatomic reduction is mandatory for intra-articular fractures to restore joint congruency.
  • Stable fixation: The combination of conventional and locking screws offers optimum fixation regardless of bone density.
  • Preservation of blood supply: -contact plate design reduces plate-to-bone contact and helps to preserve the periosteal blood supply.

Indications:
  • Extra-articular and simple intra-articular distal tibial fractures.
  • Distal tibial fractures, percutaneous or reducible by arthrotomy.
  • Distal tibial fracture extending into the diaphyseal area.

Plate Features:
  • These Plates can be anatomically contoured to match with the Distal Medial Tibia.
  • These plates are designed for both right and left tibia and are available in a variety of lengths.
  • The head hole allows only 3.5 mm Safty Lock screws, rest holes allow both 3.5 mm Safety Lock and Cortical screws.
  • Screws :
    • For Combi holes - 3.5 Locking, 3.5 Cortical, 4.0 Cancellous.
    • For Round Locking Holes - 3.5 Locking, 2.7 or 3.5 Cortical, 4.0 Cancellous.

  • Fixation of complex intra- and extra-articular fractures of the distal tibia.
  • Osteotomies of the distal tibia.

Plate Features:
  • These plates can be anatomically contoured to match with the Distal Medial Tibia.
  • The plates are designed for both right and left Tibia and are available in a variety of lengths.
  • The holes in plate allow 3.5 mm Safety Lock and 3.5 mm Cortical screws.
  • Head of plate is low profile for minimal prominence on medial malleolus.
  • Two different plate designs to fit right and left distal tibia (indicated with R or L on the plate.)
  • Rounded edges to minimize soft tissue irritation.
